Project Duration

Project types and support rates within the scope of the Horizon 2020 Program are listed below.

  • Grants for R&D projects: 100%
  • Grants for Innovation projects: 70% (For non-profit organizations: 100%)
  • Support and Coordination Actions (CSA) projects: 100%
  • ERC projects: 100%
  • Marie Sklodowska-Curie projects: 100% (excluding Marie Sklodowska-Curie Co-Fund projects)
  • Co-Funding Actions projects are funded at rates of up to 70%
  • The SME Funding Tool consists of 3 phases, and the support rates for the relevant phases are as follows:
  • Phase 1: Fixed Support (Lump sum): 50.000 EUR
  • Phase 2: 70%
  • Phase 3: No direct support

Project- Amount of Support

In the 2014-2020 period, 80 billion euros of funding is foreseen for research and innovation, and SMEs are heavily supported to participate in this program in the new period.
