Antalya Technopark Attends the World Conference of Science Parks and Science Centers in China!

The 42nd IASP World Conference (IASP 2025), which brought together the world's leading science parks and innovation centers, was held in Beijing under the hosting of Zhongguancun Science Park (Z-Park). Antalya Technopark General Manager Dr. İbrahim Yavuz, Akdeniz University Rector and Chairman of the Antalya Technopark Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan, and Prof. Dr. Ömer Özkan attended the conference, meeting with representatives of science parks and technoparks from various countries to strengthen international cooperation in science and technology.

The conference provided an important opportunity for Antalya Technopark to reinforce its strong position within the global innovation ecosystem and to further develop international collaborations.

Innovation Areas Explored Through Technical Visits

During the technical visits organized as part of the conference program, Dr. İbrahim Yavuz, Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan, and Prof. Dr. Ömer Özkan conducted comprehensive examinations at China's leading innovation centers.

As part of the visits, the delegation observed activities at iSoftStone, a company operating in software development, digital transformation, artificial intelligence solutions, and smart city projects. Subsequently, they visited the Zhongguancun Software Park (ZPark) to closely examine the work of software and technology firms, digital transformation projects, and AI applications.

Antalya Technopark representatives also visited the Planning Exhibition Hall of Zhongguancun Science City (Haidian), where they had the opportunity to explore the exhibition areas showcasing innovation and technology projects in Zhongguancun Science City.

The team then visited the Zhongguancun No. 1 Global Hard Technology (AI) Innovation Center, which provides high-tech solutions in robotics, automation systems, and innovative healthcare applications. In addition, they visited the ZGC Group Key Investment Project – Neucyber, known for its AI- and neurotechnology-based projects, to evaluate potential collaboration opportunities.

The delegation also toured the Chinese Institute for Brain Research + BIO² Innovation Center to observe innovative solutions in neuroscience and biotechnology. Finally, they visited the Xiaomi Smart Factory to examine next-generation manufacturing technologies, automation systems, and Industry 4.0 applications.

Throughout these visits, the representatives observed advancements in healthcare technologies, innovative health applications, clean energy, and green transformation solutions while gaining insights into robotics and automation systems. They also examined university–industry collaborations, technology transfer models, and entrepreneurship ecosystems, obtaining valuable information for potential international cooperation opportunities.

After the technical visits, Antalya Technopark representatives participated in the Great Wall event, held within the scope of the IASP meeting, where they met with various representatives from the global innovation ecosystem.

Antalya Technopark Joins the IASP Family

During the New Members Ceremony held as part of the conference, Antalya Technopark General Manager Dr. İbrahim Yavuz received Antalya Technopark's plaque from IASP President Lena Miranda. This milestone symbolizes Antalya Technopark's integration into the international innovation network and highlights Türkiye's active role in the global innovation ecosystem.

Antalya Technopark will continue to contribute to the strengthening of science, technology, and innovation both nationally and internationally.
